Technical Writing is an integral part of engineering, while also often being the most overlooked. This section displays my ability to communicate engineering concepts like experimentation processes, equations, data analysis, and overall results.

The Fuel the Future Competition was put on by Global Partners, challenging college students to design the fueling station of the future. As team lead, I led my partner and I to a finalist invite, and an overall third place finish, priding ourselves on our realistic and business-based approach, focusing on fuel type flexibility and customer comfort.

Formula SAE is a collegiate competition in which student teams design, build, and compete with a Formula One style car. I was tasked with the full design of our upright during the 22-23 season. From conceptualization to assembly, I was at the front of the process, resulting in a part which exceeded our goals, despite setbacks.

After my second year on the team, I was elected to lead the first ever Electric Powertrain system on UConn FSAE. While the team had no history in the EV space, the system learned immensely. While unable to compete in our first year, we were able to have a running vehicle within 12 months of starting, and have a strong design base for the future.

Senior Design at UConn pairs a group of students with a sponsor looking to solve an engineering problem. This year, I and four other students were paired with a local farm with the goal of improving their ability to spread compost and woodchips on their crop beds. This was going to be accomplished with the retrofit of a manure spreader, built specifically towards their goals. I took a leadership role within the team, creating schedules, agendas, and being the main communicator between the team and the school or sponsor. The project is still underway.
